Mood Board

For this mood board I have chosen to represent my passion in sports. Through out my childhood I have shown my interest in variety of sports. I have played footbool for 4 years, also basketball for around 6 years, sometimes it was more like training on my own sometimes as playing for school. The other sport that I was really well at was swimming I have spent 4 years training on swimming and I have achieved good results, although I lost interest in that sport. My other passion was ice hockey, i grew up watching that sport, I really loved the world cup I watched it every year, once I even tried to become an ice hockey player but that didn’t last long. For this mood board I have chosen to collect images that represent all these four sports, the colour pallet that represents these sports. Blue presents the swimming, grey stands for ice hockey green shows football and basketball and red ads on to football. All these colours unites to show the energy of sports and how they been connected to my childhood. The pictures stacked in random places, because through the childhood at different stages I have been interested in different sports and therefore these pictures are all around – shows that I have never stoped liking any of these four sports.

Concept: This mood board captures the energy, dedication, and joy of participating in four different sports: ice hockey, football, basketball, and swimming, all experienced during your childhood.

Color Palette:

  • Use a vibrant color scheme that reflects the energy of each sport. Consider icy blues and whites for hockey, team colors for football and basketball, and cool blues and greens for swimming.

Overall Mood:

  • The mood board should evoke a sense of nostalgia, excitement, and accomplishment. It captures the joy it takes to participate in sports, the camaraderie of teammates, and the thrill of competition.

It was a sunny autumn day in 2012 at an international school in Brussels. A long lunch break of an hour and thirty minutes turned into a football match. Where my Lithuanian class boys’ energy got together to fight German class boys’. There was an electrifying fervour in the air as two rival teams met to settle the strongest football team at school.

The German team was known for two fast and well skill-based players, they could strike well from a far distance and score a goal. The team was based on them although, the energy in the team was well-bonded and at any time their aggressive striking and dribbling skills could have been shown out. As they get hyped or when bad luck is seeking them. Nevertheless, my Lithuanian team is well-equipped too. My older brother this game played as a second gold keeper as our main was sick, our defenders were well set up the energy in our team was always to play quick and passing football although our attackers were tall and quick runners. I played as a mid-filder, sometimes I loved playing defence and sometimes the energy sparked me in to rush quickly for an attack.

From the kick off the Germans dominated in possession by controlling the ball. They always stayed on our side while passing around the ball. Our team was not expecting this type of football from them, we all thought they would want to play by quick attacks as they used to. They took our style of game, by short pass. They scored a goal eventually from a corner attack, and theirs and our energy shifted quickly. German team quickly eased off, their joyful faces showed up – however, this sparked angriness for us. One long pass and another long pass from our team meant that we were already on their side of the pitch. Fresh attacks with more passion for the game showed the Germans that we would not get off their back and would continue to fight for the strongest football class. And BOOM!!!. And we scored. The new score now was 1:1.

The game game didn’t end here. A shooting star streaked across the sunny atum sky. Sadly for them, it was one more goal from us to their gate. The energy of the teams shifted around, The German class team became very upset they spiked into an aggressive type of playing. They fouled us my times, putting our played injured, but we stayed up as soldiers in the field as the trophy was in our hands. Corner kick by the German gate, one ball in the air and twenty people fighting for it. One unsuccessful corner meant one more time the Lithuanian team was kicking the ball in the air wanting to destroy the German football team. I jumped in the air one more time fighting for the ball, the pouring of anger from the German team player pushed me to the back and stepped on my ankle, making me feel pain in my ankle. This time the ball landed in the German goalkeeper’s hands. He threw the ball into the air one more time making the players fight for the ball. I jumped and landed on the ground. The whole process stayed in my eyes for 2 minutes but everything happened in a few seconds, the German player kicked into my hand while fighting for the ball. He broke my bone. Some people cheered and screamed that I was acting like nothing happened. Both team players ran to see what happened, they started pushing and trash-talking to each other. Eventually, sparked an open knuckle fight. The game ended in the principal’s office. In our hearts, we still felt we won the game by a 1:2 score.
